Light Sensor is a mechanical or an electronic apparatus that detects light. Its is used to provide information distance, shape, speed and dimensions.
Light sensors detect infrared energy. Most sensors are sensitive to the temperature of our bodies. The motion sensing features will turn on the lights.
This is a light sensor circuit.

Temperature sensors are use to measure temperature.
Basically, they uses the Vbe - of a transistor to determine the voltage change between the base and emitter. Instead of using mercury in old thermometers, bimetallic strips in home thermometers or stove and thermistors in temperature sensitive resistors. These temperature sensors are precise and they are consistent between sensor and readings. Thus, they does not need calibration work under many environmental conditions.
