Temperature sensors are use to measure temperature.
Basically, they uses the Vbe - of a transistor to determine the voltage change between the base and emitter. Instead of using mercury in old thermometers, bimetallic strips in home thermometers or stove and thermistors in temperature sensitive resistors. These temperature sensors are precise and they are consistent between sensor and readings. Thus, they does not need calibration work under many environmental conditions.
